A severely deformed baby in the womb...
Is she in pain?...
Does she has any legal rights?...
How do the parents and family love and bond with an unborn child...
The place of legal system, morality, feminism, Christian ethics, kinship, friendship, and pastoral care...
How is she valued, by what yardstick...
What is the purpose God has in mind for her...
I finished the book in one day...easy to read book (not typical of Regent). A sharing of personal experience by a Historian (by profession), whose husband is an Economist (by training). Both are members of faculty in Regent College. I was drawn to read the book in view of real life observation of the sincere mannerism of the Historian and the 'handsome-ness' of her husband.
As what you would expect from a Historian, the book is by and large 'as a matter of fact' account, with much less of emotionally charged wordings. But with such a topic,... how not to cry?
A heavy but beautiful journey of a mother, a father, a family, a community, with an unborn child and with God. A beautiful attitude toward people. A beautiful God.
